For many years, Colony Rug has had several exclusive carpet styles manufactured which have grown to become our signature looks. It all started many years ago with a designer needing a specific star pattern carpet in a specific color, which at the time, was not available through any of the manufacturers.
Colony Rug combined efforts with a high-end carpet mill to have a star pattern, along with a coordinating rope border, designed and manufactured in a wool Wilton texture. The pattern was so successful, the carpet mill introduced it into their national carpet line, while keeping the color and coordinating border as an exclusive to Colony Rug!
Thus, Colony Wilton Star & Rope Border has been made exclusively for over 10 years in the classic blue field with cream stars. In the past two years, Colony Rug has introduced the reverse color way, cream field with blue stars which coordinates as well with the original Rope Border. Colony Rug has wrapped & shipped several fabricated area rugs of this pattern to various clients throughout the U.S.

With the growing demand for our Colony Wilton Star carpet style, Colony Rug went back to the carpet mill and had them develop the same pattern but in a “cut pile” wool texture and in a darker blue which is called Colony Nautical Star & Rope border. This product can be fabricated or installed anywhere in a client’s home due to its durable texture.
