Pantone Declares Honeysuckle Is The Color Of 2011

Posted in Tips & Trends

Turquoise was the color of 2010, but that’s old news now, because Pantone just announced their official color for 2011 – Honeysuckle! Honeysuckle is a vibrant shade of pink that according to Pantone, the color provides encouragement and lifts up spirits during troubling times.  Leatrice Eiseman the executive director of the Pantone Color Institute, explained that “Honeysuckle derives its positive qualities from a powerful bond to its mother color red, the most physical, viscerally alive hue in the spectrum.” Adding Honeysuckle to interiors will bring in a lively flair and a burst of energy.

While we read about the new color of the year, the first thing that came to mind was the color rugs for Dash & Albert Rug Company.  Take a look at these rugs and let us know what you think about adding some honeysuckle to your home.

You can find Dash and Albert Rugs at Colony Rug in Hanover.

Speak Your Mind- Do you of Honeysuckle as the Color of 2011?
