Woodard & Greenstein Featured in New York Times

Posted in What's New

A mill we work with, Woodard & Greenstein, was featured in The New York Times recently. The feature was on doormats, as wintery conditions mean more snowy boots accumulating at the doorstep. Doormats, the Times said, can be stylish as well as functional such as those offered by Woodard & Greenstein.

The article follows interior designer Philip Gorrivan as he navigates the textile industry’s best doormats, including a visit to Woodard & Greenstein’s Upper East Side showroom. Gorrivan admires the manufacturer’s flat-weave cotton rugs inspired by 19th century American designs for their “fresh” patterns. Gorrivan recommends specifying a custom oversized doormat, such as those offered at Woodard & Greenstein, which creates a grand entrance.

Colony Rug in Hanover, Mass., has a wide selection of doormats and other rugs by Woodard & Greenstein. Check out all of the mills we work with.
