Purging with a Purpose: Part II- wool broadloom

Posted in Blog

The process continues as does our commitment to our New Years resolution! We have worked our way into our woolen sample section and have created a formula as we go through this process. Similar to going through one’s closet or set of drawers, the old saying, “if you haven’t worn it for a year or two toss it” does not necessarily apply to carpet and flooring. Much of what we eliminated was no longer appropriate to the currents trends, regardless of how long we have had these samples in our showroom.

While working with coordinating various wool broadloom samples, we found that some standard textured wools with slight hints of color compliment these larger scale pieces, whether traditional or transitional.

rug- Kazak in black/ivory
samples- Acerito in firefly and Mazzolina in cranberry and midnight

This new wool trellis, which leans towards the transitional, creates a more dynamic pairing with a classic traditional piece.

rug- Shirvan in red/navy
sample- Kumbatine in sycamore

This elimination process has allowed us to remove several of our hanging display units which will help our clients navigate through our currently more refined collection!
