Long Distance Design Assistance

Long distance designing can be as simple as 1, 2, 3…And here is how it works.  For years, we have worked with many designers who conduct their business out-of -state.  Therefore, we have become very accustom to and comfortable with dealing with clients and designers who have never stepped foot in our showroom.  Over the years, we have been able to perfect this concept of long distance designing & take pride in servicing designers and clients who we have yet to meet in person.

1.  Quite often we will have a designer or client contact us looking for either an area rug or broadloom carpet for a particular project or space they are working on.

The designer / client will then send images of  a particular product they are looking for, fabric and paint swatches they are working with, and sometimes images of a space as they are trying to recreate.

We will then respond by email or phone call with certain questions as to how the space is being used, is this a high traffic area, and are their children or pets in the home,  etc.

2. Once this information has been collected, we will gather samples from throughout the showroom, take pictures of the various products, and forward the images on for approval. Once approved,  we will send samples to the designer/client directly from the mill or our showroom where they can try the chosen products in the space. Then an order will be placed.

3. Each long distance project will be unique and we will approach each one individually based on logistics and how the designer/ client wishes to proceed in terms of delivery and installation, if necessary Colony Rug will travel!  Out- of- state,  out of the country, and overseas if necessary!  Our men will go to measure, deliver, install and fabricate on site if necessary if the designer/client chooses to do so.
